Willie E. Wilkins

Our Beloved Father, Willie Earl Wilkins departed this life on Wednesday, September 9, 2020.  He was born on May 13, 1938 to the late Haley and Rosetta Wilkins in Enfield, North Carolina.  He was proceeded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Mary Alice Wilkins and brothers, Cleo, Willo and Newsome Wilkins and sister, Lillie Ray Jones.

Willie was educated in the Inborden Public School system in Enfield, North Carolina.  He was a member of the St. Chapel Hill Baptist Church.  He was an avid gospel singer.  He was a member of several choirs for many years, to include Enfield Gospel Singers, The New Generations and Richmond Gospel Aires.  Everyone knows of his love to sing.  When Willie moved to Richmond, he became a member of Grayland Baptist Church.  He also joined The Grayland Mass Choir, Grayland Male Chorus and J. W. Hathaway Gospel Chorus. 

Willie was a very independent man.  He prided himself on being able to provide for his loved ones.  He loved his family.  Willie also had a love for wrestling.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory, loving children, Wilma Dale (Frank) Hubbard, Robert, Milton and Michael (Laverne) Wilkins; loving grandchildren, Natasha Pollard, LaKiyah (Travis) Spencer, Detron Patron, Quinton McCloud, Robert Clark, Tayanna Collins; loving great children, Dejiyah and Giovanni Patron, Kameron Spencer and Brian King; loving brother, Nello Wilkins; loving sister, Rosa Mungen; loving sister in law, Sandra Wilkins; a host of other loving relatives and friends, among them, godson, George Scott, Ms. Eva and Ms. Elnora.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2020 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, where a viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow the service at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
