At age 67 on March 5, 2025 at his home in Quinton, VA, William entered into eternal rest. At the heavenly gates, he met his grandparents, James and Maria Minor, William and Edith Christian; father, William Minor, and brother, Stanley Minor; and sister, Jean Bolden.
William was born to the late William Henry Minor and Edith Bernice Minor. He accepted Christ at an early age, and was a member of Union Baptist Church. William attended New Kent County Public Schools. After graduating from high school, he entered into the Military. After leaving the military, he worked for Concrete Products for a number of years. William was a very generous person who cared about people.
William leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Edith Bernice Minor; seven children, Anya Carter, William “Bubba” Carter, Keisha Carter, Kimberly Carter, Kedra Carter, Derrick Carter Wells, Jonathan Carter Wells; 15 grandchildren, Kamiya, Kayleigh, Rasheed, Josiah, Amir, Kisha, Malaysia, Derrick, Jr., Asiah, and Jamarion; two brothers, Walter (Patricia) Minor, and Lonnie (Patrice) Minor; one sister, Janet (Lyn) Valentine; a devoted uncle, Herbert Minor; two aunts, Rachel Jones, and Rosa Morris; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Union Baptist Church, 8468 S. Quaker Rd., Quinton, VA 23141, with a viewing held one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at the Minor Family Cemetery, 9230 Higgins Rd. Quinton, VA.
