Mrs. Verna Lee Bradley, 95, of Glen Allen, Virginia, formerly from Charleston, South Carolina entered eternal rest on Friday, December 5, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Arthur J. Bradley, Sr.
Verna attended Charleston County Public Schools. She was a member of Holmes Street Baptist Church for many years and served in the Deaconess Ministry. She worked diligently in the Environmental Services Department at Saint Francis Xavier Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina for over 20 years. While working and after retiring from Saint Francis, Verna spent a considerable amount of time visiting her children nationally and internationally to support them in various endeavors. Over the last few years, she loved going for car rides, eating Mike and Ike candy, singing, watching the Food Network, and the Tamron Hall Show.
Verna leaves an abundance of cherished memories to her six children: Bonnie Jackson (Jobe), Arthuree Brown (Howard), Charlene Banks (Robert), Arthur J. Bradley, Jr., Anthony Bradley (Jacqueline), and Karen Bradley. She also leaves a multitude of heartfelt memories to her siblings: Josephine Bashful, Isaac Singleton (Faye), Ruby Singleton, and Ruth Anderson; she was preceded in death by her brothers (Harold Singleton and Irvin Singleton) and her sister, Ruth Singleton. Verna also left mentoring memories to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
