Usebia Rebecca Hewlett entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 6, 2026. She was affectionately known as Sebie or Lil' Sebie. Sebie was born on February 29, 1948, in Richmond, Virginia to the late Raymond E. Hewlett, Sr. (Skippy) and Charlotte V. Williams Hewlett. She was the oldest daughter born from this union and was also preceded in death by her older brother, Raymond E. Hewlett, Jr. (Shack) and younger sister, Lorena H. Kizzie (Twin).
At an early age, Sebie accepted Christ and was baptized at 31st Street Baptist Church where she later reinstated her membership. Until her retirement in 2019, Sebie was employed with Regional Marketing Concepts, Inc. (RMC) for more than 25 years where she served with professionalism and quiet dedication, supporting the safety and success of numerous public events, including sporting competitions, graduation ceremonies, professional races, concerts, and touring entertainment. She will forever be known for her calm presence and respectful demeanor, as she took pride in helping ensure that moments of celebration and community could be enjoyed safely by all.
Sebie was known for her quiet demeanor, cheerful spirit, lightheartedness, and the love she had for her family, especially her daughters and grandchildren. With a gentle spirit and an easy smile, she had a way of making others feel seen and at ease. Her laughter was sincere, her compassion genuine, and her presence a quiet comfort to all who knew her. Sebie found joy in life's simple moments and shared that joy freely, leaving behind memories filled with warmth and love.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her daughters Kimberly H. Paige (Antwan) and Dr. Regina T. Norman (Riean), granddaughters; Ariana Renae Paige and Kerah Hope Paige, grandsons; Royce Keith Norman and Remmington Keith Norman, devoted sisters; Charlotte H. Crewe and Dr. Loretta H.
