Timothy M. Williams Obituary

On Thursday, June 26, 2025, Timothy Maurice Williams peacefully transitioned from labor to reward at home with his wife. Timothy is preceded in death by his father, Walter Williams; grandmother, Shirley M. White; great-grandmother, Nora Malone; brother, Anthony Williams; uncle, Ronald Malone; and cousin, Reginald Malone Jr.

Timothy Maurice Williams was born in Richmond, VA, on November 3, 1966, to Patricia Malone-Monroe and the late Walter Williams. Tim was educated in Richmond Public Schools and Henrico County Schools. He overcame many obstacles throughout his journey, including time away from his loved ones, and returned with a renewed spirit and a new passion for life. During his time away, he came across many people, forming everlasting bonds and brotherhoods, and also completed a Commercial & Residential Electrical Course, becoming a certified electrician. Once home, he was employed with Fareva, obtained his CDL, and worked proudly for the City of Richmond driving dump trucks. In addition to his career, Tim owned and operated his own lawn care business, showcasing his dedication and strong work ethic. Tim met the love of his life, Chimere Stokes, and they were united in marriage on December 20, 2024. Their bond brought him great happiness and comfort in his final years. Chimere stood faithfully by his side through life’s ups and downs, and together they shared a love filled with laughter, support, and unwavering devotion.

Tim gave cancer a tenacious fight and never once let up! He personified the term “One day at a time” and lived by that motto. Tim devoted his life to his family, whom he deeply loved. Tim enjoyed gambling, especially playing poker, which was his favorite and a game he was exceptionally good at. He also loved dressing nicely and, most of all, watching his loved ones live their lives to the fullest. His inspiring spirit, very outspoken and upfront way about him, his love for life, and steadfast determination will be remembered by the lives he touched.

Among those who will forever hold him in their hearts are his wife, Chimere; children: son Timothy Cox and daughter Tia Peterson; mother, Patricia Malone-Monroe (Anthony); brother, Andre Buckingham; uncle, Reginald Malone Sr.; his lifelong friend, Joedy Goodson; along with a host of stepsons, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
