Shirley Norrell Manley passed away peacefully March 29 ,2025. She was born on May 12,1941 to Washington A. and Lucille B. Norrell as the youngest of three daughters. While in Richmond VA, she attended Richmond Public Schools and was a member of Second Baptist Church’s Sunday School and Youth Department. She was also a member of Cedar Street Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She later moved to Baltimore, MD and married Willie Manley. In Baltimore, she worked with Baltimore City Public Schools Pupil Transportation Services and was member of Church of Dynamic Deliverance Cathedral.
Shirley had quite an imagination and could create a lot out of very little - whether it was a story, clothing, a meal or a cake. She was a light hearted woman with a sense of humor.
Shirley is predeceased by her parents Washington A. and Lucille B. Norrell; sisters Lucille N. Lewis and Dorothy N. Robinson; husband Willie Manley; and son-in-law Charles Harris. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Aileen Chase (Anthony) , Priscilla Eggleston, Stephanie Alexander, Nyeta Harris and Ida Smith; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A viewing will be held from 1 - 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA.
A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5829 Ritchie Hwy., Baltimore, MD.
The family is receiving services of comfort from Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA.
