Shirel D. Seabron Obituary

Shirel Darline Seabron, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Richmond, Virginia on December 18, 2024. Born on October 29, 1948 to Verneil Smith and William Tucker, Shirel was a vibrant spirit whose warmth touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Growing up in Richmond alongside her siblings—William Tucker, Jr., Robert Anthony Tucker, Christopher Tucker; Sheila Tucker Ross; and Elaine Tucker Bowens—Shirel developed an unbreakable bond with her family that would last throughout her life. She cherished every moment spent with them and welcomed each new addition to the family with open arms. Her stepmother Eva Tucker also played an important role in shaping the loving environment that surrounded Shirel during her formative years.

A proud graduate of Armstrong High School, Shirel carried forward a passion for learning and community engagement into adulthood. After dedicating many years to AT&T before retiring from there as a respected employee known for her kindness and work ethic, she continued to embody the values of service by always lending a helping hand wherever needed. Shirel's heart was as big as her love for life itself. Known affectionately as "the life of the party," she had an infectious laugh that could light up any room. Whether it was hosting gatherings filled with laughter or sharing stories over jazz music—a genre she adored—her presence brought joy to those around her.

Her greatest pride came from being a devoted mother to Alfred Hubberd and Sherita Seabron. As they grew into adults themselves, Shirel embraced motherhood wholeheartedly while nurturing their dreams and aspirations without reservation. The love extended further when she became “Nana” to three grandsons: Antonio Brown Jr., Malik Seabron, and Kevon Seabron—all who held special places in her heart. In addition to being passionate about family ties—the Washington Redskins were another source of joy for Shirel! A loyal fan through thick-and-thin seasons alike; cheering them on became part of what made game days so memorable within their household.

As we remember Shirel Darline Seabron today—a woman whose good heart knew no bounds—we celebrate not only how deeply loved she was but also how profoundly loved others felt because they knew her too! Her legacy will live on through all those fortunate enough to have shared moments filled with laughter at parties or quiet evenings listening together under stars accompanied by smooth jazz melodies drifting softly nearby. She leaves behind countless memories etched forever within our hearts along with lessons learned about compassion & generosity towards one another which shall guide us moving forward even amidst this profound loss we now face without our dear matriarch present physically among us anymore—but never forgotten!
