Ms. Sheila Diane Bullock, lovingly known as “Cupcake” by her baby brother Lee-Lee, was born on January 10, 1969, in Richmond, Virginia, to Margie Elaine Langston Moss and the late Henry Lee Bullock. On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, surrounded by love in the comfort of her home, Sheila peacefully took her final breath and entered into eternal rest.
Just days before her transition, her siblings and granddaughter gathered tenderly around her, releasing butterflies into the air—a sacred symbol of Sheila’s spirit beginning to take flight: free, radiant, and everlasting.
From an early age, Sheila accepted Christ and became a member of Roanoke Chapel Christian Church in Boydton, Virginia. Her walk with the Lord continued as she worshipped for many years at Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Varina, Virginia. Later in life, she found spiritual fellowship at Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church, where she regularly worshipped alongside her sister Nancy and beloved granddaughter Malayah. Sheila’s dedication was unwavering—she made sure Malayah attended youth choir practice every first Saturday so she could sing with the children’s choir on Sundays. Even when illness prevented her from attending in person, Sheila remained spiritually connected, faithfully dialing into the 7:00 a.m. prayer calls every Tuesday and Thursday.
Sheila graduated from John Marshall High School, Class of 1987, in Richmond, Virginia. She later pursued higher education at Commonwealth Community College, earning her associate degree with pride and perseverance.
Her professional journey began at Anthem BCBS then Richmond Memorial Hospital on to First Health. When office work no longer met her needs, Sheila boldly pivoted to the manufacturing industry—first with Via Systems (AT&T), then with Qimonda, and she joined Nabisco, which later became part of Mondelez International, where she remained a dedicated employee for seventeen years until her health no longer allowed her to work.
Sheila’s greatest joy was her family, especially her cherished grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart. She was passionate, protective, and full of life—a woman who stood firm in her convictions and didn’t hesitate to speak truth when wronged. And when the music played, Sheila transformed into a true disco diva, dancing with such joy that every curl in her hair would be lost to the rhythm and sweat of celebration.
In addition to her beloved father, Henry Lee Bullock, Sheila was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Alfonso Bullock; her daughter, Ashlee Nicole Walmsley; her cherished nephew, Vincent L. Brown Jr.; and her son in heart, Corlin Johnson.
