Senior Pastor Dorothy Hughes Obituary
Senior Pastor Dorothy L. Hughes, age 83, of Richmond, VA departed this life on June 20, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest W. Hughes, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her legacy five children, Deborah Hammond (Rev. Anthony), Cynthia Brown (Rev. Larry), Earnestine A. Clarke, Pastor Darryl Hughes (Dr. Michelle), and Kizzy Hughes; two brothers, Grady and Moses (Willie Mae) Lynch; best friend and cousin, Dr. Elizabeth Bridges; nine grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held from 1 - 6 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2022 at St. Mark COGIC, 1100 E. Brookland Park Blvd., followed by a musical celebration from 6 - 8 p.m., and where a homegoing celebration will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022.
Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
