Rosebud Demery

Rosebud Demery, age 77, of Richmond, VA departed this life October 28, 2021.

Rosebud (Robinson) Demery was born on November 15, 1943 in Richmond, VA to the late William Robinson, Jr. and Magnolia Winston Robinson.  She found the Lord at an early age.

Rosebud attended Richmond Public Schools and from there she became an employee for Sears & Roebuck for many years.  Once she left her passion for helping people lead her to become the founder and CEO of Demery Rest home.  She would always go out her way for her residents and she believed you always treat people the way you want to be treated.

Rosebud was a wonderful and amazing mother and grandmother.  All the kids in the neighborhood dearly loved her and enjoyed hanging out at her house.  Rosebud was also an amazing woman and sister.  At the age of 21 their mother died and she took her two sisters and three brothers in and she raised them as if they were her kids.

Rosebud loved painting flowers, doing crossword puzzles, sketching, studying history, and learning the bible.  Her favorite colors were pink and yellow.

Rosebud was preceded in death by her mother and father, Magnolia and William Robinson III; Harold Robinson; one sister, Joyce Garrett; son-in-law, Cox; son and her son- in-law, Leon Person.  She leaves to cherish her brother, Raymond Robinson; sister, Jean Robinson, four daughter, Diane Demery Cox, Cynithia Demery Person, Carolyn Demery and Denise Demery; five grandchildren, Chad Demery, Ciera Morris, Paul Harrell, Dominque Humphrey, and Spencer Person; three great grandchildren, Lavel Williams, Jr., Ariana Williams and Siniah Williams; along with other relatives and friends, two devoted, Norma Harris and Gloria Jennings.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, VA.
