Rev. Lois Cosby Hopkins

On Sunday, November 15th, 2020 Reverend Lois Jeanette Cosby Hopkins loving Mother of two, transitioned at the age of 77. She was born October 14th, 1943, to the late Myrtle and William Edmond Cosby in Richmond, Virginia. Lois is preceded in death by her three older brother Raymond, James, Walter, twin brother Louis and Sister Christine E. Harvey.

Lois attended Richmond Public Schools and graduated from Maggie L. Walker High School. At age 11, Lois accepted Christ into her life, along with her twin brother Louis, at St. John Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member. As a dedicated Prayer Warrior, she became a licensed and ordained Minister and worked tirelessly serving God and all his Children.

Lois married Leroy Elvert Hopkins, their union yielded two sons Donnell Leroy Hopkins and Gregory Randolph Hopkins. 

Reverend Lois Hopkins was a loving dedicated mother to many and leaves to cherish her memory her beloved sons, Donnell Hopkins (Tracy) and Gregory Hopkins (Lavinia); grandsons, Bryson Hopkins, Miles Hopkins, Kevin Joshua Robinson, Lauren Robinson, Houston Hopkins, Austin James Hopkins; sister Reverend Shirley Wilkins; and host of of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends and extended family who lovingly called her Nana.

A walk-through viewing will be held from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Wilson & Associates Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, VA.

A  private graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
