Melvin Curtis Bolling departed his life on Friday July 5, 2024. Melvin was born March 3, 1948, in Richmond, Virginia to the late James and Agartha Bolling. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Carrie Bolling, and Dorthy Booker; brothers, James Bolling, and Dr. John Bolling; one niece, Brenda Johnson; one nephew, Emanuel Robinson; and devoted friend, Annette Hunt.
Melvin and the late James Bolling was well known roofers here in the city of Richmond and surrounding counties. Melvin loved fishing, dominos, and was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He was known as Uncle Buck or Buckeye.
Melvin leaves behind to cherish his loving memories devoted friend Marjorie Venable, daughters Yvette Pryor (Timothy Sr.), Annette Bolling, and son Melvin Bolling Jr. brother Charles Bolling (Jackie), and Ronnie Bolling (Jackie). He has five grandchildren Shellie Bolling, Lavette Bolling, Timothy Pryor Jr, Timmese Pryor, and Jayden Murphy. Three great grandchildren Jahvianna Bolling, Zaniahya Bolling, and Lariyah Ingram and a host of extended great and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA, where a viewing will begin one hour prior to the service.
Interment, following the funeral service, will be held at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
