Melvin L. Wilkes, Jr.

Melvin L. Wilkes, age 66, of Richmond, VA departed this life on March 30, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Gladys Wilkes, Sr. He is survived by his sister, Rev. Dr. Stephanie L. Wilkes; brother, Franklin Hawthrone Wilkes; four aunts, one devoted and caregiver, Joyce Watson; one uncle; one niece; two nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service- East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2021, with Rev. Stephanie L. Wilkes, eulogist.

Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

The family has entrusted final arrangements to Wilson & Associates Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, VA.
