Mary, affectionately known as "Pat or Aunt Pat", transitioned from this life to the next on March 24,2025. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Robert S. Wynn, Sr., and Annie Bell Wynn; siblings, Robert S. Wynn, Jr, Barbara L. Harris, & Edward Wynn; and one grandson, Michael Scott, Jr.
Mary grew up in Richmond VA, where she attended Armstrong High School and graduated in 1961. Mary decided to move to Boston, Massachusetts at the age of 23 and at some point, became a design assistant in the design department at Pontiac for General Motors. Mary worked for Pontiac for the next 16 years until she was diagnosed with a tumor on her spine in 1983. In 2003 Mary's children drove to Boston to bring their mother home to take care of her, where she spent her remaining years enjoying her children, grandchildren and her family. Mary liked going to family functions and taking cruises with her family. Mom, may your wings let you soar as high as you like. Fly free. No one is telling you what to do anymore.
Mary leaves to cherish two devoted children, James K. Wynn (Sheila), and Miyoshi U. Wynn; one remaining sibling, Joyce Wynn Bland, one grandchild, LaDawn C. Wynn, two step-grandchildren, Tarsha Jones and Jessica Richardson (Alicio, Sr.), seven great-grandchildren, Cameron L. Scott, Jurnee S. Wynn, Jai' Quan T. Roscoe-Wynn, Chrishad R. Baugh, Jordan Powell, Serenity Richardson, and Alicio Richardson, Jr.; extended daughter, Kendra Taylor; four extended grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA.
