Mary Catherine Dunston

Mary Catherine Dunston,  age 85, of Richmond,  VA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 26, 2020 at Memorial Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman R. Dunston.  

She leaves to cherish memories, her children, Larla Dunston, Agnes Dunston Hawkins, Leroy Tharrington, Timothy Johnson and Rosalind Johnson; grandchildren, Chloe, Zion, Leroy Jr., Zoe, Timothy Jr., and Rashawn; great-grandchildren, James Jr., Nolan, Breonna, Kiano, Rahkim and Teonna; sister-in-law, Diane Phifer (Haywood); daughters in-law, Janet Robinson (Richard), Shirley Tharrington, and Celest Johnson; son in-law, Karvonsa Hawkins; devoted niece, Barbara Ann Sneed; extended family, Vonda Brown, Dee Forgus, Vincent Jones, Roland Chopfield, Jr., Cedrick Rufus, JaVaughn Broadnax; devoted friends, Rev. and Mrs. Roland Chopfield, Sr.; the Hanks family; the Clayton family; caregivers, devoted Tina Martin, Doris Jackson; and Andrea White; Epiphany Assisted Living Home; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

A viewing will be held from 1- 8 p.m. on Tuesday,  September  29, 2020 at Wilson  & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel,  5008 Nine Mile  Rd., Richmond, VA, where a Celebration of Life service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday,  September 30, 2020. Elder Samuel L. Massenburg, Jr., officiating.  Rev. Charles A. Tillman, Sr., eulogist. 

Interment will follow at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Rd., Amelia, VA, where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Norman R. Dunston.
