Marquest T. Christian

Marquest (Mark) TreShawn Christian, 30, of Henrico, VA, departed this life suddenly on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.  Buda as he was affectionately called by his mother was born on November 14, 1993.  He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald Christian and Jerome Toomer, grandmother, Joyce Murrell and his uncle Atlas Christian.

Mark believed in God but had his own ideals and thought of who God was.  Mark attended Varina High School in Henrico, VA.  He went on to graduate ECPI College with an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts.  He loved cooking and would often cook for his family and friends.  He would drive his yellow and black Camaro that he called “1MEANBB” aka 1 Mean Bubblebee to car events and hangout with his car club friends.  When he was not driving “1MEANBB” he would be at home online researching cars, trucks and/or playing video games with his cousins and friends.  When he was not online researching or playing video games, he would be outside working on his car and trucks.  Mark was kind, generous and fun-loving person.

Mark leaves to cherish his memory, a loving mother, Cheryl Christian, a loving father, Shawn Murrell, a brother, Kareem Murrell, a loving grandmother, Shirley Christian, a devoted uncle, Donnell Brown, a devoted aunt, Felicia Christian, a loving cousin, Stephon Simpson, a nephew, Kareem Murrell Jr, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and other family and friends.

A viewing will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., where a funeral service will be held 12 noon Friday, June 7, 2024. 

Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Richmond, VA.
