Maria A. Scott

Maria A. Scott departed this life on April 28, 2021. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Willnette and Aubrey Banks.

Maria grew up on Jackson Street and attended Franklin Military for some time, and graduated from the Adult Learning Center. Maria later attended and graduated from nursing school. She worked for the City of Richmond for over 15 years. Maria was a Library Assistant for the Richmond Public Library and North Avenue Library.

She leaves to cherish her memories her three children, Alicia Banks, Destiny Scott, Robert Scott Jr.; two grandkids, Jameah Prince and Miracle Scott; three sisters, Autrina Wright (Quentin), Calandra Seay (Johnathan) and Priscilla Chester (DeWayne); devoted family, Russell Smith, Laverne McMullen, and Robert Scott Sr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, where a funeral service will also be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2021.

Interment will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery.
