Leon A. Snead

Leon Alex Snead, age 70, of Richmond, VA was born on Born on May 28, 1954, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2025, surrounded by love.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Mines, and his grandson, Antonio. 

He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion. Leon is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Jackson Snead; six cherished daughters: Melissa, Leon’ta, Mary, Alexis,  Keyanna and Katrina; one son, Deon.

Leon is also survived by his devoted mother, Bessie Neblett; his brothers William, Barry (LeLani), and Everett; sister, Frances of New York City, and a host of grandchildren great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Leon’s gentle spirit, unwavering love for his family, and his enduring faith will forever be remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing him.

A viewing will be held from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
