Laura G. Fleming

Ms. Laura “Gail” Fleming, 70, transitioned to eternal rest Monday March 17, 2025.  Gail was born in Roanoke Rapids, NC on February 5, 1955, to the late Thelma Bell Fleming and Willie Hubert Fleming.  Gail was preceded in death by her brothers Jerry Fleming and Arthur Fleming; nephews Reginald Pittman and Kevin Brown; and niece Angela Johnson.   

Gail accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and worshipped God even during the most challenging moments of her life.  Gail valued serving others and found solace in working with the elderly population.  Gail worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) throughout her young adult life. 

Gail leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters Jeanette Blake (Kirsha) and Tyneisha Fleming; and son Stanley Fleming.  Gail loved and adored her grandchildren Hassan, Aliyah, Ashanti, Ty’Erica, Rashawn, Tyanna, K’ion, and Ackeilah; Great-grandchildren Zamir, Hashim, Demarius, Mezekiah, and Aubrey.   Among others left to cherish her memory include her devoted niece Trinette Bodrick (Kirk), and a host of other relatives and friends.  Gail is survived by her siblings, Alonia Coleman and Willie Fleming. 

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025. 

Interment will follow at Maury Cemetery, Richmond, VA.
