Jeannette E. Crute

Jeannette Edith Crute was born on January 30, 1943, in Richmond, Va. She departed this life on July 1, 2026. Her passing was preceded by her mother (Lucy), father (James), husband (Clarence), brother (Bias), sister (Elizabeth), sisters-in-law (Linda and Rosalee), and uncle (James/Snow).

Jeanette grew up in Henrico County, Va, with her parents and siblings, she attended Henrico County Public Schools. After school, she held various jobs around the city of Richmond. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and her twin brother.

She is survived by her twin brother James (Darlene, Shawn, Timothy), her children Christine Crawford, John Eggleston, Jeannette D. Crute, Clarence Crute (Pat), and Juanita Crute, as well as 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Jeannette was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5004 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, VA with a viewing being held one hour prior to the service.

The interment will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery.
