James L. Murphy

On May 5, 2024, God called  James Lee Murphy, age 74, of Henrico, VA home from labor to reward. 

He leaves to cherish memories, his wife, Christine Ingram Murphy; three daughters, Cheryl Maroney, Rene Banks, and Joy Harris (Demond); two brothers, Anthony Pollock (Paulette) and Walter "Jack" Jones (Deborah); three sisters, Willa McGuire (Philip), Regina Richie, and Mary Brown (Willie); nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on  Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA, with the family receiving friends from 5 - 7 p.m. 

A Homegoing Celebration will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2024 at Victorious Living Christian Center, 5186 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA.

Interment, with military honors, will follow at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, Amelia, VA.
