Irene Virginia Johnson "Baldhead" , 60 of Charles City, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2022. She was born on July 28, 1961.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving son, Damian Johnson (Tera) and a loving daughter, Brandi Chavis; two sisters, Lolita Johnson "Bunny" and Shirley Miller; four brothers, Maury Johnson "Dank", Malvin Johnson (Sarah), Marvin Johnson and Rian Johnson; two grandsons, Ameer "AB" and Chayce; two granddaughters at heart, LaBria and Eboni; two aunts, Mazie Robinson "Mae" and one devoted, Arletha Greene " Leelee " (Harold); one uncle, Bernard Johnson "Will " (Rose); two devoted Goddaughters, Kesha and Jo Ann Adkins; three devoted friends, Vanessa Childs, Felicia Grady and Shandra G. Armstead "Tina" and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Irene was a member of St. John Baptist Church. She graduated from Charles City County Public Schools.
She worked at USAA until her health declined. Irene enjoyed being around family and friends. She lived life to the fullest. There was never a dull moment when she was around. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved traveling, going fishing and grilling all kinds of Shish Kabobs. Irene loved her sweets, especially ice cream and brownies. Overall, she was just a "Social Butterfly".
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA., where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022.
Interment will follow service at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery, 8131 Roxbury Rd., Charles City, VA. 23030
The family has entrusted final arrangements to Wilson & Associates Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, VA.
