Felecia L. Christian Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dr. Felecia Lavanda Christian, a beloved mother, wife, educator, author, and friend, who left this world on March 22, 2025, at the age of 53. She was preceded in death by her father Herbert Perry; stepfather Clinton Bennett Dickerson Sr.; Father-in-law Henry L. Christian and mother-in-law Martha A. Christian.

Felecia was born on April 1, 1971, and spent her early years in both Milwaukee, WI, and Richmond, VA. Her passion for learning and helping others led her to earn a Doctorate from Liberty University, a testament to her dedication and perseverance. For over 17 years, she served as an educator, shaping the minds and hearts of countless students with her wisdom, patience, and unwavering support.

Beyond the classroom, Felecia’s creativity knew no bounds. She was an author who inspired the next generation of educators through her writing. She also created her own YouTube channel and ran her own small business, both centered around her love of crafting—a passion that brought her joy and allowed her to share her creativity with the world. Whether she was designing something beautiful with her hands or teaching others how to create, her artistic spirit shone through in everything she did.

Felecia’s faith in God was one of the foundations of her life. She found great joy in her faith and shared it through her actions, always leading with grace and compassion. Felecia was also a cherished member of the church praise team, where her beautiful voice lifted the spirits of all who heard her sing. She poured her heart into every note, using her talent to honor God and bless others.

Those who knew Felecia will remember her kindness, compassion, and incredibly big heart. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether she was mentoring a student, uplifting a friend, or simply sharing a warm smile, her generosity of spirit left a lasting impact.

She is survived by her husband, Chris L. Christian; sons, Noah, and Emmanuel Christian; mother, Mable James; stepmother, Ann William Perry; siblings, Gay Burris Willis (Walter), Shantalnek Bell (Victor), Demetria Perry, Clinton Benett Dickerson Jr., LaMesha Washington, and LeJuan Williams Perry; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
