Dr. Mary E. Bridges

Dr. Mary Elizabeth Bridges, age 98, of Mechanicsville, VA went to be with the Lord on August 18, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Thurman Bridges, Sr.; and three sons, Thurman, Jr., Arthur, Sr., and Marvin Bridges, Sr.  

She is survived by four daughters, Linda Forbes (Dea. AE, Sr), Terraine Miles (Supt. Larry, Sr.), Kimberly Towns (Supt. Dr. Stephen), and Yvette Bridges; 31 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Columbia Bridges and Susie Bridges; sister-in-law, Viola Carn; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA. 

A homegoing celebration will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Fresh Anointing Cathedral, 3001 2nd Ave., Richmond, VA.

Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
