Desi Dero Scott, 70, departed this life on March 11, 2026. He was born on May 20, 1955, in Chesterfield, Virginia, to the late John and Bernice Scott.
Desi was educated in the Henrico County Public School System and served two years in the United States Army. He was baptized at an early age at Goodwill Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia.
Desi was known for his easygoing spirit and love for football, especially his unwavering loyalty to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed nothing more than going to "the office" every day (IYKYK), something that brought him great joy until his health no longer allowed it.
We believe Desi was met by a cloud of witnesses, including his parents; his sister, Gina Scott; his niece and nephew, Shanicqua Howell and Dante Johnson; his cousins, Samuel "Butch" and Michael Howard; and his close friend, Paul.
He leaves to lovingly remember him his devoted friend, Lucille Clanton; daughters, Donna Christian, Dina Scott, and Tiffany Jones; grandchildren, Jamil Scott-White, Tideja Hodges, Tiniya Jones, and Cordell Hodges; siblings, Teri Scott and Valarie Johnson; niece and nephew, Tarika Scott and Stephen Howell; great-niece and great-nephew, Janique and Joaquim Howell; uncle and aunt, James (Harriett), and Shirley McCray; devoted aunt/cousin, Barbara Jones; extended family, Darlene Woodfin; close friend, James "Bruh" Light; and many other relatives and friends. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5004 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA.
