Deborah Ann Hicks, aka Debbie, passed away on September 21, 2025 at the age of 62.
Deborah was preceded in death by husband, Robert Crenshaw; her parents, Catherine and Raymond Flippen; sister, Maggie Monroe; and one brother, Arthur Flippen.
Deborah attended Richmond Public Schools, and later worked at the Cool Lane Nursing Home for many years. She was a very loving person who loved to make people laugh, always talking about going to Beverly Hills to put on her “Dolly Parton Bra” LOL. She was the life of the party, and she truly loved her family and friends.
Deborah joined church at a very young age. Her grandmother raised her up in church, and she would later join St. Paul’s Baptist Church in 2004 as a candidate for baptism.
Deborah leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Nikita Hicks; two sons, Karon Hicks and Kevon Hicks; one grandson, Nazir Emmanuel Hicks; one sister, Lesa Lewis; one brother-in-law, Hakim Lewis, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5004 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at St. Paul's Baptist Church, 4247 Creighton Road, Richmond, VA.
Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
