Daryl Lydell Mosby was born on March 13, 1958 in Richmond, VA to Leslie P. and Irene D. (Williams) Mosby. He was the second born of four children. At an early age, he accepted Christ at St. Peter Baptist Church, Glen Allen, VA. He later joined Anointed New Life Baptist Church where he served on the Gate Watchers and Men’s ministry.
Daryl found and married the love of his life, Debra (Smith) Mosby, 26 years ago. From this union their son Lydell Marcus Mosby was born. They also loved and raised together their bonus son, Andre Johnson.
He graduated from Hermitage High School in 1976 and he later attended J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. While he did not continue with formal education, he was an avid reader and loved Sudoku puzzles. He was a “numbers” man and did not forget a date. He worked several jobs early on but his career began with the Internal Revenue Service where he retired in April of 2018 after serving over 30 years.
Daryl has entered eternal life, joining his mother, father, son and devoted friend William Johnson, Jr.
