Crystal D. Glenn

Crystal Diane Brooks Glenn, of Mechanicsville, VA, peacefully departed this life on September 24, 2025. She was born on May 9, 1973.

At an early age, Crystal accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized at Rock Hill Baptist Church. A graduate of Lee-Davis High School, Class of 1991, she went on to serve her country with honor in the United States Army, including during Operation Uphold Democracy. Following her years of military service, Crystal continued her pursuit of excellence, earning a bachelor's degree in organizational management from Claflin University, where she graduated magna cum laude.

Crystal was a devoted mother whose greatest joy was her children. She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne H. Brooks, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving mother and stepfather, Deacon Vivian "Skip" and Sheila Mayo; her stepmother, Sharon Brooks; her children, Dorian Brooks and Destiny Glenn; three brothers, Wayne H. Brooks, Jr. (Renee), Lamart White, and Malyk Dandridge; two sisters, Sabrina Guerin (Raymond) and Annette Brooks; and two stepsisters, Maricia Harris (Darrell) and Monica Dawn (Don). She is also remembered with love by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family would especially like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Felicia Cater, Crystal's dedicated caregiver for many years, as well as to Dr. Aaron Fox, Dr. Natalie Penaranda, and the compassionate medical team at Richmond VA Medical Center for their unwavering care and support.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm. on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Rock Hill Baptist Church, 4271 Rockhill Rd., Mechanicsville, VA. 

Interment will follow at First Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Mechanicsville, VA. 

The family is receiving professionals services of comfort from Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service  - East Chapel, 5004 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA.
