On March 24, 2025, our Heavenly Father came down and carried our beloved brother, Charlie Moral Clark, home to rest. Charlie was born on March 30, 1954 in Campbell County.
Charlie became a member of Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church at the age of nine, and he remained a faithful member until God carried him home. He attended Campbell County Public Schools and became a graduate of William Campbell High School on the fourth day of June, nineteen hundred and seventy-three. Our Father had given Charlie many, many gifts. One of them was the Godly love he had for people. He always put himself last when it came to others. He had a giving heart that was incredibly outspoken, and he loved to work and teach others. Charlie worked in law enforcement for several years at the Powhatan Correctional Center in Virginia, then he moved into the cleaning business, and later started a career with Smith Iron and Metal Company, Inc. Charlie involved himself in a lot of activities such as helping the church in his neighborhood by doing flooring and tile work, paint, concrete, carpentry, and other side jobs in the community. He also loved working at the gym too.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ollie Taylor Clark; a devoted friend, William Scott; brother, James Edward Clark; sister, Ibula Clark; aunts, Pearline Cook, Alice Jackson, and Annie B. Traynham; uncles, Roy L. Cleveland, Charlie, and Fletcher Taylor.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved nephew William Orlando Clark and his wife Lakisha, their daughter and sons Alonda Y. Clark, Tyree D. Carter, JayQuan K. Ford, three sisters, Brinda C. Harris (Gordon) of Madison Heights, Linda C. Winnbush (Fletcher) and Maynell C. Taylor (Cedric), both of Gladys, VA; brothers, Jimmy L. Clark of Richmond and Sylvester L.
