Charles E. Richardson Obituary

Charles Edward Richardson, III was born in Richmond, Virginia on December 8, 1972 to Mary Catherine & Charles E. Richardson, Jr. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary C. Richardson; father, Charles E. Richardson, Jr.; stepson, Antonio Spruill; sisters, Sylvia McDonald, and Crystal Richardson; nephews, Antoine “Fat Baby” McDonald, Jerome “Rome” Johnson, Jr., Martel “Marty” Marrow; and great-nephew, Monte’ “lil chub” Richardson.

Charles E. Richardson, affectionately known as “Lil C” grew up in Church Hill in the Mosby housing projects which helped define his toughness, being that he was the only boy in a house with six older sisters, so of course he had to appoint himself the man of the house. “Lil C” loved hanging with his nephews and played a pivotal role in each of their lives growing up while growing up with them. He could never come around without the all in fun back and forth banter with his nieces, which always ended with him telling them how beautiful they were. Being the youngest and only boy, he was always the protector of not only his sisters, but all his family. If you needed him, he was there and when he smiled, it could light up a room. He found God later in life and was baptized at Great Hope Baptist Church in Church Hill.

Charles “Lil C” Richardson leaves to cherish the love of his life, his wife, Felicia Kidd-Richardson; daughter, Ieasha Richardson; son, Charles “CJ” Richardson, IV; grandchildren, Haven Hannah, Andre and Dreyohn Coleman, Honesty, Raheem and Laken Harris, Harmony Crumpler and King Jones; sisters, Wanda Cooper (Renee), Catherine Johnson (Stanley), Loleta Marrow (Michael), Tina Richardson, Karen Williamson (Don); sister-in-law, Sylvia Kidd; brothers-in-law, Anthony and Clarence Kidd, and John Holland; 10 nephews, Reginald McDonald, Artis McDonald, Michael Marrow, Jr., LaJuane Richardson (Barbara), Travis Marrow (Jessica), Stephen Steele, Farad “Oodles” McDonald, Diontey McDonald, Davonte Willaimson, and Khalil Richardson; nine nieces, Ivey Richardson Jeronda Johnson (Almar “O”), Natia “Tia” McDonald, Latara Thomas (Jamal “Boo”), Tiara Henderson, Jasmine Richardson, Whitney Richardson, Imani Johnson, Tazhani Richardson, and a host of great aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.
