Calvin Trice

Calvin Trice was ushered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at VCU Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia. (“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” II Corinthians 5:8.). Calvin is now rejoicing with the Lord and all his family that made that spiritual journey before him. He was predeceased by his mother, brothers, George Trice and Norris Trice, Sr., and sister, Ann Trice.

Calvin was born October 05, 1948, in Louisa County, Virginia to the late Mary Trice, a devoted mother. He joined the Zion Travelers Baptist Church at an early age. He was educated in Louisa County Public Schools. He began his life commitment to public service by joining the United States Air Force (1970-1974), and he retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 32 years of service.

Calvin was a lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed spending time with nature, whether it was relaxing in the fresh air, attending outdoor gatherings, or simply appreciating the beauty around him. His beautiful singing voice and infectious laughter brought joy to everyone he encountered. Calvin’s positivity, kindness, and humor made a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Calvin was married to Deborah Trice and from that union three children were born. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: daughter, Anisha Trice of Glen Allen, VA; sons, Omar Trice of Louisa, VA and LeVar Trice of Washington, DC; brother, Charles (Evelyn) Trice of Charlottesville, VA; four grandchildren, Jadiah Trice, Zaidan Jack, Gionni Trice and Zinnia Jack; best friend, Curtis (Rosalind) Ridley; devoted friend, Pamela Robinson, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service  - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA.
