Brenda S. Lee Obituary

Brenda Sandra Lee, born to the late Simon Linwood & Lucille M. Davis, on July 8,1954, in Richmond, VA entered into eternal rest on February 12, 2025.

Brenda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was educated in the Richmond Public School System and dedicated 22 years of service as an employee at Tyson Foods.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Leonard Wilbert Simmons, Sr. and Marvin K. Lee; her sister, Eloise M. Patterson, and her brothers, Linwood Davis, Jr., Jerry M. Karim, and Bernard C. Davis.

Brenda was known for her warmth, humor, and generosity. She was well-loved in her community, known to be selfless and often opened her home to those in need. Brenda raised her only granddaughter, Jayla, ever since she was born. She enjoyed hosting, attending family gatherings, watching game shows, romantic comedies and had a deep admiration for Denzel Washington. She loved cooking and passing down her treasured recipes to the younger generation, playing games; especially Bingo & cards and was a huge dog lover.

Brenda leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald M. Lee; her beloved grandchildren, Jayla M. Simmons and Leonard W. Simmons Jr.; her devoted sister, Edna Deloris Spears; two aunts, Elsie Davis and Dorothy M. Davis; a devoted niece, Jacqueline Logan; nephew, Conrad Patterson (Marlo); a devoted cousin, Melvin Patterson (Christine); four sisters-in-law, Charlotte James, Sylvia Holman (Mark), Brenda Bowles (Quincy), and Laverne Lee-Hill (Carlton); two brothers-in-law, Clarence Lee and Michael Lee (Serena) and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends (including two close friends, Clarence Lomax and Kirmit Aldridge).

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Wilson  & Associates' Funeral Service - South Chapel, 1215 Richmond Hwy. (Jeff Davis Hwy.), Richmond, VA., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025. 

The family is receiving services of comfort from Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - South Chapel, 1215 Richmond Hwy. (Jeff Davis Hwy.), Richmond, VA.
