Alexander Augustus Washington, also known as Aleck, was born January 9, 1959 to the late Daniel and Blanche Washington. He joined Baptist Liberty Church at an early age. He was educated in the King William County School System where he graduated in 1977. After graduation, he joined the United States Army and was discharged in 1983 with honors.
Aleck drove a gasoline tanker for Green Motor Line and Solite for over 30 years, and drove under the CB handle “Wheel of Fortune”. He was a die-hard San Francisco 49ers fan. He loved to watch “Gunsmoke” and “Sandford & Sons”, those were his favorite past time shows. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids. He was a long-time member of the Gun and Rod hunting club. In 1994 he married miss Audrey Harris, and from that union two Children were born.
Alexander leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Audrey Washington; two daughters, Shonta Brown (Lamar, Sr.), and Jalissa Washington (Rashaun); three grandchildren, Delonta, Zaria, and Lamar, Jr.; one brother, Dennis Washington (Phyllis); one sister, Alveta Stewart; three aunts, Bona Harris, Lois Smith, and Julia-Mae Coleman; one uncle, Benjamin Clarke (Deborah); three sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
