Albert L. Richardson

Albert Lee Richardson, 58, of Richmond, VA departed this life on Thursday November 9, 2023 at 11:09 PM at MCV Hospital. Albert was a native of Richmond, VA. He received his education in the Richmond Public School System. He held multiple jobs, but he was very good as being a fork lift operator. Albert was known to the family as a nickname, Allen and to some of his friends as ET.

Albert was introduced to Christ at a young age through his grandmother, the late Anna S Richardson. She made all of her grandchildren go to church, even if they did not want to go. His favorite songs were “Let the church say Amen” and "Something about the name of Jesus” . He loved all of his 3 daughters , his family, and most of all his beautiful friend, Ladawn Bodrick in which we all know was known to him as his queen and wife.

He was preceded in death by his mother Frances Richardson, and sister,  Mary F. Forehand. He is survived by his father, Herman Richardson, Jr.; three brothers, Michael A. Richardson (Fiancé Brenda Womble) , Timothy J. Richardson, and Darryl W. Richardson; three daughters, Latia Buffaloe, Yamesha Buffaloe, and Nasira Mariah Richardson, 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a devoted friend, which we all knew was considered his wife, Ladawn M Bodrick; his first aunt, Glenda Richardson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Albert will always be known for his smile and loving to dress and wear his jewelry. He was very good with words and spoke very well.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2023. 

Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
