Mrs. Dorothy M. Gaines, 78, of Mechanicsville, VA entered eternal rest on July 11, 2011 at Memorial Regional Hospital. She is survived by her children, Patricia G. Myrick, Robert P. Gaines and Helen D. Gaines; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. A viewing will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2011, here at the funeral home. A Homegoing Celebration will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011 at First Shiloh Baptist Church, 8175 Walnut Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, VA. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsville, VA.
