Mrs. Carrie Inez Reed, age 90, of Richmond, entered eternal rest on June 24, 2011 at Johnston Willis Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Jacob Reed; three devoted sons Raymond Sr. (Min. Helen), Jacob (Beverly), and Elijah Reed (Linda); one adopted son, Tommie (Mildred); two devoted daughters, Josephine Johnson and Cora Ford; nine grandchildren; one adopted grandson; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; four nieces, among them devoted Bernice B. Swann; two nephews; and a host of great nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2011, here at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 6 - 8 p.m. A Homegoing Celebration will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2011 at Sixth Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 14 West Duval Street. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
